What's GOOD about the Apple iPhone 1.1.1 Update?

So thankfully I did not update my iPhone to the 1.1.1 firmware update…so all my third party apps and ringtone makers etc. still work for my iPhone..as i heard the new firmware update basically bricks your phone. However..im sure with any new update there's some good that comes out of it…anyone know what's the good stuff that I might be missing out on by not updating my iPhone to the newest firmware update? Thanks.
